We felt really fortunate to have Alex West as the celebrant for my father’s funeral service. Both in the lead up to the funeral and at the event itself, we could not have hoped for more. Alex spent time with us in advance getting to know us and our father in order to be able to capture the essence of him and to help us decide on the musical and verbal tributes we wished to give. He was very responsive to our particular wishes, adjusting his own contribution in the way we wanted. And at the service itself, he had exactly the right balance of natural calm and authority alongside knowing when to let us do things in the way we wished. A very sad occasion somehow also felt very special.

Not knowing who to look for as a celebrant for my mums funeral, the funeral director put us in touch with Alex West and we were so happy they did. He visited me and gained a good understanding of my mums character and life which transpired into a lovely, meaningful service that remembered my mum with love and dignity. It was a wonderful service with words of comfort and tribute to a great lady. Alex gave us a sensitive but comforting eulogy that made the day a day of celebration as well as sadness.
